Environas has been established by Dr. Nihal Al Sabbagh in Cairo, Environas aiming to integrate environmental knowledge and expertise into practice through research based design approaches and tailored solutions.

Dr. Nihal Al Sabbagh is an architect and educator whose work sits at the intersection of environmental science, urban and architectural design using a transformative pedagogy. Holding a Ph.D. from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London and an MSc in Sustainable Design from the British University in Dubai, she brings rigorous academic grounding to every project she leads. She has led many projects across the MENA region that focuses on microclimatic urban design analysis, architectural passive design, and human-centered approach for integrating sustainability into buildings. This hands-on approach has shaped her teaching across academic institutions where she has consistently introduced cutting-edge methods to equip the next generation of architects with the skills to design for climate resilience.
