    We are seeking a passionate architect with demonstrated experience working on climate-resilient projects in the built environment. The ideal candidate will be someone with excellent conceptual clarity, practical experience and keen to explore and incorporate the latest developments in the green building design space.

    The position is a hybrid model with a significant element of travelling to the site. Environas is dedicated to enabling work-life balance and adheres to the Labour Law in Egypt to ensure employee well-being.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee daily operations of the Cairo office.
    • Manage legal requirements such as registration
    • Ensure timely payments to vendors and staff.
    • Ensure staff have the resources and support needed to perform their duties effectively.
    • Maintain the digital filing system of the organisation.
    • Undertake business development activities to identify and meet potential clients.
    • Coordinate with marketing agencies to promote Environas.
     
     

     

     

    • Serve as the primary contact for Environas enquiries.
    • Liaise with local government departments as required.

    Qualifications:

    • Graduate or postgraduate degree in any relevant field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in support functions like administrative, liaising, business development roles and working on digital filing systems.
    • Candidates with familiarity and previous involvement in environmental sustainability-related activities will have an added advantage
    • The person should have medium to high proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
    • Must have good command over written and spoken English. Proficiency in Arabic is preferable.
    • Comfortable liaising with government agencies.
    • Willingness to be available as needed.

    • Initiate new research tracks that are relevant to the company’s vision.
    • Familiar with the process of journal publications and rankings.
    • Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
    • Prepare detailed reports and presentations based on research findings.
    • Produce high-quality academic papers, articles, and industry reports.
    • Contribute to the dissemination of research findings.
    • Engage with both academic and industry audiences to share insights and knowledge.
    • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for climate-resilient design.
    • Explore new methodologies and technologies to enhance research quality.
    • Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and workshops.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree is a must, Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field is highly preferable.
    • Trainings and certifications in sustainability such as LEED, ESG, carbon counting or equivalent).
    • Must have at least 2 publications in journals or conferences
    • Excellent academic writing skills.
    • Familiar with Ladybug, DesignBuilder, Autodesk Revit, ENVI-met, and lifecycle assessment.

    • Conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) to evaluate the environmental impact of projects.
    • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
    • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to meet project requirements.
    • Integrate green building practices into design processes.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in different project locations.
    • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in sustainable architecture.
    • Contribute to research projects and knowledge sharing within the team.

    Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
    • Green certification (e.g., LEED, ESG, carbon counting or equivalent).
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing architectural projects.
